Qingdao is an ideal choice if you want to learn about Chinese culture whilst you study Mandarin Chinese. The city is at the heart of the Shandong province, the birthplace of Confucius and Taoism. Like all our schools in China, our school in Qingdao arranges an optional activities program to help you get the most from your Chinese course. Activities include excursions to the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and Mt Laoshan. Our Chinese school in Qingdao is located in a prosperous area of the city, where the best and most famous of Qingdao’s beaches is found. The school built has bright, well-equipped classrooms, as well as a school cafeteria, library, and student lounge. There is also a school Internet café, providing free Internet access.
The Standard Course (20 lessons/week) at our Qingdao school comprises 15 language lessons, and 5 cultural understanding lessons/week. All our teachers are fully-qualified and experienced native Mandarin Chinese speakers. The average class size is 10 students, so you’ll get lots of individual help and attention.
Students can choose to stay in the comfortable on-site residence, located in the same building as the school, or else in a nearby guesthouse. Our school can also arrange hotel accommodation, if you prefer. In the on-site school residence you can choose a single or shared room, with shared bathroom. The guest house is located near to the beach, but also within walking distance of the school. All the rooms in the guest house have private, en-suite bathrooms.

Our school also organises a popular optional sports and cultural activities program, including tennis, basketball, kite-flying, hiking and visits to the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and Mt Laoshan.
The best way to get to Qingdao is to catch a direct international flight to Qingdao, or take one of the regular internal flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo or Hong Kong.
