Our school lies in the centre of Lyon, between its twin rivers, the Rhône and the Saône. Lyon’s main square, the Place Bellecour, is just minutes away from our school, which has free Wi-Fi Internet access and bright, spacious classrooms.

Course
This over 50s French course in Lyon lasts for 1 week or 2 weeks, depending upon your preference. Each week you’ll have 15 French lessons, in classes with an average of just 6 students. Such small class sizes allow teachers lots of time to improve each individual student’s French!
Accommodation
Experience the French culture and benefit from lots of language practice – stay with a friendly French host family! Our school will go to great lengths to ensure that you’re placed with a welcoming family, who are well-suited to receiving guests aged 50 or over. Your new hosts will prepare breakfast and dinner for you each day, giving you the chance to sample genuine French home cooking!

Activities
Enjoy an activities program tailored to the interests of more mature students. On the Sunday before your French lessons start, the school will organise a welcome drink, which is the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow students. Other activities will follow, including events such as a tour of Lyon, museum visits, a river cruise and an optional trip to the Casino. Each day will bring something new and exciting to further immerse you in the French language and culture!
Transfers
Transfers are not included in the price of this over 50s French language holiday in Lyon. However, transfers from the nearby Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport are available upon request.
Suitability
Anybody aged 50 or above, regardless of French proficiency, can take this over 50s French course in Lyon. It’s a great way to learn the French language and meet people from all over the world!
