Location
Study French on the breathtakingly scenic Swiss Riviera! Located between the majestic Swiss Alps and shimmering Lake Geneva, French-speaking Montreux enjoys a microclimate which keeps temperatures mild all year-round. Relax in the sun at a lakeside café, try your luck at the Casino de Montreux or visit the iconic Château du Chillon, just a short bus ride away. If you’re feeling a little more active, why not take a walk into the hills around Montreux, which offer incredible vistas of the town, Lake Geneva and the mountains. You’ll have a simply unforgettable time on this over 50s French language course in Montreux!
Our school is situated in the very heart of Montreux, facing Lake Geneva. Some of our school’s classrooms are blessed with magnificent views, and all are superbly equipped. The school also has a terrace area, computer room and free wireless Internet access throughout.

Course
You can study on this program for 1 or 2 weeks, depending upon your preference. From Monday to Friday, you’ll have 3 French lessons each morning, allowing you to explore Montreux in the afternoons! The maximum class size on the course is just 8 students, so our school’s highly-skilled, native teachers can devote lots of time to rapidly improving your French!
Accommodation
Practice your French all the time with a French-speaking host family! This over 50s French language holiday in Montreux includes accommodation with local residents, specifically chosen to house students aged 50 or over. Accommodation is on a half board basis, meaning that your family will prepare two meals per day for you.

Activities
Our school works hard to organise a program of activities that’s just perfect for mature students! On your first evening in Montreux, the school will hold a welcome drink – the ideal opportunity to introduce yourself to your fellow students. The next day, after your first French lessons, you’ll get to know your tutor over lunch, and then get to know Montreux during a guided tour!
Every afternoon will bring a new French, cultural experience, from a visit to le Château du Chillon to a fondue dinner. If you learn French in Switzerland for 2 weeks, you’ll enjoy at least 1 full day excursion.
Transfers
If you like, our school can collect you from Geneva Airport. Please note, however, that this service is not included in the price of this over 50s French language course in Montreux.
Suitability
No matter what your current level of French, this program is a fantastic way to learn lots of French quickly, and have a great time while you study!
