Biarritz
Biarritz is well-known as Europe’s surf capital. At our language school in Biarritz you can learn to speak French while you learn to surf. Surfing conditions are good all year, and the long sandy beaches are ideal for when you are just starting to learn to surf. Our school in Biarritz runs a specific ‘French and surfing’ course to combine your French course with surfing lessons. Biarritz is an ideal place to learn to speak French, even if you do not surf. The best way to learn to speak French is to learn the language in France, so choose a location for your French course where people are friendly and happy to speak to you, such as Biarritz. Biarritz is a small town, so it is easy to meet people and make friends and there is plenty of opportunity to speak French to the locals.

Our French language school in Biarritz is located near the town centre. The school has 15 classrooms, a study room and free Internet access. You can learn to speak French on a ‘Standard’ French course of 22 lessons/week, or if you want to learn to speak as much French as possible in a short period of time, you can enrol on an ‘Intensive’ French course of 30 French lessons/week. There are also ‘Business French’ courses and private lessons. Students can learn just the French language, or can learn to surf as well. The ‘French and Surf’ course includes 10 surfing lessons per week with qualified instructors and all surfing equipment. You can also learn to play golf, or improve your golf handicap, as well as learn to speak French, on our ‘French and Golf’ course. Our school in Biarritz also runs a specific A level Revision French course for students preparing for the A-Level exam, and French Courses for Young Students (15-17 years) during the summer. |

Our Biarritz school can arrange accommodation in carefully selected French host families. Staying with a French family helps you learn French quickly as you will speak French with the family, practising what you learn on your French course. Alternatively, of course, you may make your own accommodation arrangements. If you book French host family accommodation, you will be met free of charge by your French host family at Biarritz train station or airport. Like all our schools in France, our school in Biarritz organises a cultural program to help students practice out of class the French language skills that they learn on their course. This program includes French films, evenings out with tutors, wine tasting and excursions to chateaux and the coast. If you like, you can combine your French course in Biarritz with a French course in Bordeaux and/or Toulon, paying for one course and dividing it as you like between 2 or 3 locations. If you learn to speak French in more than one location, you will not only see 3 very different areas, but will also get used to the different accents with which people speak French in different parts of France. |
