French course in La Rochelle, France!
Study French in a city blessed with beautiful architecture and a wealth of history! La Rochelle is known as ‘La Ville Blanche’, a reference to its gleaming limestone buildings. A French course in La Rochelle will introduce you to a true walking city, where you can wander for hours, enraptured by the incredible architecture all around. Most picturesque of all is the ‘Vieux Port’ (Old Port), guarded by imposing medieval towers and populated by glistening yachts.
The oldest tower (Tour Saint Nicolas) offers superb views of the old town, where cobbled streets are lined with cosy cafés and excellent seafood restaurants. The area around La Rochelle produces some of France’s finest wines, as well as the renowned cognac brandy. Off the coast lie several islands, including the stunning Ile de Ré, with its gorgeous beaches and wonderfully relaxed lifestyle.
