Classrooms at our Gifu school are bright and spacious, and there is also a library and computer room with free Internet access. Teachers and staff at the school are very friendly and will do everything possible to make sure that you really enjoy your time in Gifu.

If you like, rather than just staying a few weeks, you can choose to really get to know this enchanting area of Japan by taking our Long Term course. Stay for between one and two years on a long term Japanese course. Either way, you’ll have 20 Japanese lessons every week. Choose the Long Term program, and at the end of your course, you’ll leave with an advanced level of Japanese and a deep affection for Japan and Japanese culture! Attend a short-term course of just a few weeks to improve your existing level of Japanese, or to start as a complete beginner! If you don’t have much time to learn Japanese in Gifu, our Standard Course is ideal. Study for anything between two weeks and three months, taking 20 Japanese classes per week.

Or you could enjoy the undivided attention of our native, experienced teachers on our One-to-One program. On this program, your Japanese course will be customized to meet your requirements and you can decide how quickly you learn.

Choose to live with one of our Japanese host families and you’ll definitely make good progress with your Japanese! Our school goes to great lengths to place you with a friendly, welcoming family. The family will provide you with two good meals each day, introduce you to Japanese home life and help you to improve your language skills. Or, you might prefer to live with other students from the school in shared student apartments, located close to the school. All of the rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchens and air-conditioning. You’ll share laundry facilities with your fellow international students.

Why not join other students and teachers on extracurricular activities? Our school organizes an activities program, which includes trips to Gifu Castle, Nagoya, the site of the 2005 Expo near Nagoya, a welcome party, Japanese make-up sessions for female students, speech contests and much more! Activities and excursions give you the chance to practice your Japanese with the locals as you explore Japan.
