Experience one of the most vibrant cities in the world! Study on a Portuguese course in Rio de Janeiro for spectacular nightlife, immaculate beaches and an infectious joie de vivre. The symbol of Rio is Cristo Redentor (the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer), from which you can enjoy commanding views of this incredible city. Stretched out below you is the buzzing metropolis, bounded by dramatic forested peaks, with small islands breaking up the perfectly blue expanse of the Atlantic.
Rio stood as capital of Brazil for more than two centuries, giving the city a rich historical legacy. Wander through the Centro neighbourhood and find palaces, churches and museums hidden in a sea of skyscrapers. The Lapa neighbourhood, meanwhile, is blessed with beautiful colonial architecture and Rio’s best Samba clubs. Zona Sul is where you can lie back and people-watch on famous beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema. Rio has countless different faces, and you’ll have a great time discovering them all!
