Our air-conditioned school in Havana is located in Miramar, a prosperous area of Havana, bordering the sea. You can learn Spanish on a course of 10, 20 or 30 lessons/week, or have 10 to 30 private lessons/week. Our school in Havana also offers dance and music classes, as well as scuba diving courses. The maximum group size at our school in Havana is just 8 students per class, providing lots of personal attention to every student. Our Spanish language school in Havana arranges accommodation in apartments in a 3 star apart-hotel, also located in Miramar. Each room in the ‘apart-hotel’ is a comfortable studio apartment, with living room, kitchen and private bathroom.You can also use the swimming pool and sports facilities at a neighbouring hotel. If you like, we can arrange for you to share the apartment with another student from the school. Alternatively, you can stay in a more basic guest house, or with one of our school’s carefully selected Cuban host families. |

If you want to learn as much Spanish as possible, you should stay in a Cuban host family, as the families naturally speak Spanish to you, helping you to learn more quickly. Students staying in host families do not have their lessons in the school, but walk to their teacher’s house for their lessons, or else their teacher will come to their host family. Students who stay in host families have a maximum of 3 students in each Spanish lesson. All host families are located in Vedado, an area of Havana next to Miramar and within walking distance of the historic centre of Havana. Students staying in host families have 20 Spanish lessons/week, or can do a ‘Combined course’ of 20 lessons and 5 or 10 private lessons. Alternatively, you can have 20 to 30 private lessons/week. Like our other schools in Latin America, our school in Havana offers a cultural program, with optional Salsa dancing, guitar lessons, visits to beaches, horse riding, tours of Havana, and visits to local rum and tobacco factories. This program ensures that students enjoy their time in Havana, as well as helping them practice out of class the Spanish that they learn on their course. If you are staying in the Apart-hotel or guest house, our Spanish language school in Havana can arrange transfers from Havana Airport, if you would like to be met on arrival and taken to your accommodation. Students staying with host families should take a taxi to their accommodation. |
