Benalmádena

This is a colourful, lively town, yet it remains small enough to offer tranquillity and a glimpse into the traditional Spanish way of life. During your Spanish course in Benalmádena, you can walk the medieval streets of Benalmádena-Pueblo (the old town), discovering sights such as Castillo de Colomares (a magnificent monument to Christopher Columbus). Take the cable car up Mount Calamarro for superb views of the Spanish countryside, Gibraltar and even Africa on clear days. Then you can head back to the coast for a leisurely dinner, or to party the night away!

Tempting golden beaches lie just a 15-minute walk away from our school! Nearby you’ll find Tivoli World theme park, as well as many cafés, restaurants and shops. The school has 13 spacious, air conditioned classrooms, as well as a shaded café area, small cinema, library, student lounge and a multimedia room with a free Internet connection. Best of all, our Benalmádena school retains a close-knit, family atmosphere, which will immediately make you feel at home!
Courses
If you want to study general, everyday Spanish, our school’s Intensive Course of 20 lessons per week will be perfect! You’ll learn in groups no larger than 10, with students from all over the world.
The Combined courses also consist of 20 group lessons each week, plus 5 or 10 additional Private Spanish Lessons, depending upon your preference. Individual classes allow our school’s expert tutors to devote more time to improving your Spanish!
Our Benalmádena school runs an exciting range of special interest courses. You can complement your Spanish course in Benalmádena with extra classes in Flamenco dancing, Spanish cookery, tourism studies or golf!
The school even organise a teacher training course for non-native Spanish teachers. Or, you can gain an internationally recognised qualification in Spanish with a DELE Exam Preparation course. On the Work Experience course (for EU nationals only), you will have a program of Spanish language lessons, followed by a period of 5-24 weeks working in a local business. The media, travel agencies, marketing and advertising are just some of the fields you could work in as you improve your Spanish.
Students aged 50 or over have the option of taking a course reserved exclusively for mature students. On the Spanish Club 50+ course, you’ll enjoy Spanish lessons and specially designed activities with others in the same age range. Of course, this is just one option, and you are more than welcome to take a course with students of all ages.

Accommmodation
Our school will happily arrange accommodation for your stay in Benalmádena. The best way to fully immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture is to stay with a native host family, practicing your vocabulary with the locals! Each family is chosen for their hospitality, suitability to host students and the standard of their accommodation. Choose a bed and breakfast arrangement or 2 meals a day. Most families live within walking distance of the school.
Alternatively, you could share an apartment with your fellow students whilst you learn Spanish in Benalmádena. Each self-catering apartment has a communal living room, kitchen and bathroom.
If you’d prefer your own space, private studio apartments are also available. The apartments, complete with an outdoor swimming pool, are located just a 10-minute walk away from the school, close to the town centre and beach.
Activities
Get the most from your Spanish course in Benalmádena with our school’s varied activity program! Enjoy activities such as tapas tours, Flamenco classes, horse riding, Spanish film nights, windsurfing, museum visits, beach volleyball and sangria parties!
You can also join our school’s excursions, taking in places like Granada, Córdoba, Seville and Ronda. Many activities are included in the price of the course, whilst others incur extra charges.
Arrival in Benalmadena
Our school will gladly provide one or two-way airport transfers from/to Málaga Airport, although this service carries an additional cost.
