You will receive 20 English lessons per week, and will be taught by highly qualified native speakers, who are very experienced at teaching English as a foreign language to international students of this age group. You will be encouraged to speak English as much as possible during your course, to help you improve your confidence using the language on an everyday basis!
You will stay on-site in the school’s own residence, where you will share a bedroom with 2-5 of your fellow students. Boys and girls are housed in separate buildings, and members of the school’s staff will stay in the residences with you, to ensure your safety and to be available if ever you need any assistance. This accommodation is offered on a full board basis, and you will eat all your meals in the school’s own dining room. When out on full-day excursions, you will receive a packed lunch, and you will even be given a late-night snack (such as hot or cold milk, soft drinks, cake or cookies) before bedtime!
This programme offers a very high level of supervision for students. All students taking this course stay in the on-site residence, and members of the school’s staff also stay on-site, to provide 24 hour supervision and care for students. Students are not permitted to leave the campus unless on a school activity or excursion, or when accompanied by a member of staff.
You will have five afternoon activities and seven evening activities per week. Examples of typical activities arranged include an orientation tour on the first day; sports such as football, badminton and swimming; arts and crafts such as charcoal sketching, T-shirt design, mask-making and circus workshops; and other activities such as a conversation club, British quiz and parties. The school also arranges two full-day excursions per week, to places such as Cambridge (to go punting or visit some of the historic colleges), Warwick Castle, London (to visit museums, go sight-seeing or take a trip down the Thames on a boat), Cadbury’s World and theme parks!
This course is suitable for students aged 10-15 years, who wish to take an English language course in a very safe, typically English location. This course provides students with a high level of supervision and security.
