French course for Teenagers, Biarritz

- 15 French lessons per week
- One afternoon and one full-day excursion per week (canyoning in Pyrenees mountains, hiking, chocolate museum, Basque village).
- 3 sports afternoons per week (surfing, windsurfing, tennis, horse-riding, golf, volleyball, beach trips, swimming).
- Full board, shared room, host family accommodation
- Transfers from/to Biarritz airport/train station
Location
This French course for Teenagers (13-17 years old) takes place in a French school on a separate site to our adult school in Biarritz. This ensures that students learn French with other teenagers of a similar age from a wide range of nationalities. The school is located in a beautiful area of Biarritz, 5-10 minutes walking distance from the sea front, beaches and town centre.
CourseThere are 15 French lessons per week which are held in the mornings. A full day excursion takes place every Wednesday. Alternatively, students may take the A-Level revision course which includes 22 French lessons per week and two sports or cultural visits per week. All teachers are fully qualified and experienced in the teaching of French as a foreign language.
Accommodation
Twin room accommodation is provided with French host families. This allows students to be totally immersed in the French language and culture. Rooms are shared with another student of the school with a similar age. On the first day of lessons, all host families take the students to the school.
Level of supervisionStudents have free time in the evenings (until 11.30pm during the week and 12.30 at weekends). All excursions and sporting activities are supervised by qualified instructors.
ActivitiesBiarritz is famous for its surfing beaches and there are plenty of opportunities for students to practice their surfing technique. In total, there are 3 sports afternoons offered each week including tennis, horse-riding and beach volleyball. A full day excursion takes place every Wednesday (Pyrenees, Basque village) and there is a weekly half-day excursion to the chocolate museum and the Marine museum.
TransfersAirport transfers are available from Biarritz airport/train station.
SuitabilityThis program is ideal for older teenagers (13-17 years old) who want not only to learn French but to immerse themselves in the French language and culture. Ideal location for those who would like to be close to the beach and enjoy exciting sports.
