- 15 or 20 French lessons each week, depending upon your preference
- Optional program of five professional surfing lessons a week (all equipment included)
- A wide choice of activities every day. Choose from activities such as beach volleyball, quizzes, school parties, basketball and dancing
- At least two half-day and one full-day excursion every two weeks. Explore places like the scenic town of Pau, the vibrant Spanish town of San Sebastián and the breathtaking Pyrenees mountains
- Full or half board accommodation with a host family or in our school’s residence

Treat yourself with a trip to the Museum of Chocolate or see all manner of marine life at the Museum of the Sea. Climb to the top of ‘le Phare’ (the lighthouse) for panoramic views of the beautiful Bay of Biscay. Biarritz is full of fun things to do!
Our Option One Biarritz school is located in a residential area of Biarritz, surrounded by its own pleasant, green gardens. Use your free bus pass to get to the beach or town centre, both only 10-15 minutes away. The modern, well-furnished school building has spacious classrooms, a café and an Internet area.

CourseFrench lessons at our language school in Biarritz last for 45 minutes. You can learn French in Biarritz with either 15 or 20 classes per week – choose the option that suits you best! Optional surfing lessons take place in the afternoons following French classes. You should have at least a basic understanding of French before you start at our school. Only native French teachers, with years of experience, teach at our school, so your French will quickly improve!

Accommodation
Live and socialise with your fellow students in our school’s residence, or let a friendly host family take care of you. At our school’s high quality residence, surrounded by private green areas, you’ll share a room with an en-suite bathroom with two or three other international students. Choose between two or three meals a day in the self-service cafeteria, which is on-site at the residence. Every day you’ll have a free mini-bus transfer to our school for your French lessons.
Or, choose to stay with French host family. Local host families are thoroughly checked before being approved to accommodate students. They will welcome you into their home, give you opportunities to practice your French and provide you with two or three meals each day, according to your wishes. Living with a host family presents you with a unique chance to experience life in a French family!

ActivitiesAn extensive program of activities and excursions is arranged to complement this French course for Young Students in Biarritz. A welcome meeting and welcome party will help you get to know other students at the school.
If you choose the optional surfing lessons, you’ll spend an hour and a half enjoying the waves every afternoon. Lessons are supervised by fully trained surfing teachers and all of the necessary equipment is provided.
Or, take advantage of Biarritz’s fine sporting facilities and warm summers with the activities program. It gives you the chance to try a variety of sports, including volleyball, beach Olympics, table tennis and frisbee. Theme nights and discos are also on the agenda, as well as workshops in Health & Beauty, Arts & Crafts and other subjects. A tour of Biarritz will introduce you to this charming town.
Around Biarritz are many places worthy of a visit. Each week our school will show you some of these places, either on half-day or full-day trips. You might see the beautiful château at Pau, the picturesque fishing town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz or even San Sebastián over the border in Spain. Certain trips are also open to students taking the surfing program.

Transfers
Two-way transfers from Biarritz, Bordeaux, Pau and San Sebastián airports or from Biarritz train station are available, for an extra fee.
