Location
Augsburg, 1 hour from Munich, has the advantages of being a modern university city whilst being one of Germany’s oldest towns. Our German Summer school provides a total immersion German program and is located in the city centre.
CourseThere are 20 German lessons each week and lessons take place in the morning (5 per day Monday to Friday). All teachers are native speakers and fully qualified in the teaching of German as a foreign language. German lessons are interesting and lively, so that the German you learn can immediately be put to use in conversation.
Accommodation
Students are accommodated in twin rooms with German host families. This provides a complete immersion in the German language. Single rooms are available on request for an additional charge. Many host families live within walking distance of the school although a local bus pass is included in the program.
Level of supervisionAll sports and cultural activities are supervised by fully qualified staff. Students are allowed to go out during their free time with parental permission. We ask all parents to complete a parental consent form giving their permission for students to go out.
ActivitiesStudents have the choice between a Multi-Sports activity program and a combined Cultural and sports activity program. Students taking part in the Multi-Sports program take part in organised basketball, football and volleyball games as well as swimming and karting. Students taking part in the combined cultural and sports program also visit local cinemas, theatres and museums. There is a full-day excursion every Wednesday (Munich, Nurnberg, Castle Neuschwanstein, canoeing).
TransfersOptional airport transfers on arrival and departure from/to Munich airport are available for an additional charge.
SuitabilityThis total immersion German course is ideal for students who wish to learn German whilst having a choice of Sports and Cultural activities. Students of all nationalities, all aged 12-18 years, attend this German program ensuring a real international mix.
