Children will need at least an elementary appreciation of German before they start this German course for Young Students.
Accommodation
For the duration of their two or three week course, students live in our large, three-storey guesthouse in the grounds of Buldern Castle. Spacious single or double rooms are available, all comfortable, well-furnished and with Internet connections. Each floor has its own bathrooms, showers, kitchenette and common room, complete with TV.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the library area of Buldern castle, offering a variety of dishes.
Level of supervisionCommitted teams of carers look after students’ needs and make sure that they have 24-hour supervision. Students can leave the school grounds to meet friends or explore the area, if their parents have supplied a parental consent form.
ActivitiesNo matter what students enjoy doing, our activities package is sure to have something that they’ll enjoy! In the afternoons and evenings after German classes, countless activities are on offer, including canoeing, swimming, mini-golf, barbecues and discos. During activities, the children soon make friends and practice German with each other.
At the weekends, our school runs half-day and full-day excursions, giving students the chance to see more of Germany! In Cologne, they will visit the magnificent gothic cathedral and the chocolate museum, and trips to the cities of Essen and Wuppertal are also on the itinerary.
TransfersIf students would like to be met at Dussledorf airport and taken to their accommodation, our school can arrange a transfer, for an extra fee.
SuitabilityAnybody aged 12-15, with at least a beginner’s level of German, can study on this summer course. Students will rapidly improve their German, experience Germany and German culture and make lots of friends too!
