Location
Freiburg is the gateway to the Black Forest, with many trails and cycle paths leading out of the city to unspoilt woodland and incredible vistas. The city itself has lots of shops, a vibrant student atmosphere and a wealth of elegant buildings, including the spectacular Minster Cathedral.
Our school, and your on-site accommodation, is situated amidst lush greenery on the tranquil outskirts of Freiburg. The city centre is only 25 minutes away, and in 10 minutes you can get to a well-equipped sports park, which has its own swimming pool! What better way to enjoy the summer sun after your German lessons?
Course
Our German course with football coaching in Freiburg is offered at a range of levels, from beginner to advanced. You’ll be placed in a group according to your level, with a maximum of only 15 students in a class. German lessons last for 50 minutes, and you’ll have 15 lessons a week. All of our teachers are native German speakers, with plenty of experience in teaching young students the German language.
You will spend four afternoons a week with professional football coaches, learning all about the beautiful game. Then you can use your new football skills, and your German language skills, in football matches. Communicate on the pitch with other students, in your common language! You can spend two, three or four weeks of your summer in Freiburg, depending on how much German you want to learn and how much football you want to play!
Accommodation
You’ll share a room (with a washbasin), in our residence with four or five of your fellow German language students. Your roommates will be the same gender and around the same age as yourself. Showers and toilets are shared between two rooms. There are also common rooms and sports facilities, including volleyball courts and table-tennis tables, on-campus. Your three meals a day consist of breakfast and dinner at the residence, and lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Level of supervision
24-hour supervision is provided by our school staff, with group leaders living in the residence with students.
Activities
Your evenings and weekends at the camp will be spent enjoying our school’s activities program. Film-showings, theatre evenings, barbecues, parties and much more are on the evening agenda! Then get to know Freiburg and the nearby area with weekend excursions, accompanied by our school staff. Taking part in the activities program will help you to make friends, experience Germany and practice your German!
TransfersWe recommend that you travel to Freiburg by train. From the train station, representatives of our school will pick you up and take you to the residence.
