Location
Höchst sits in the beautiful Odenwald mountains of southern Germany. The mountains create a splendid backdrop for your German lessons, and the warm climate in this part of Germany means that you can really enjoy the outdoors this summer!
Being a former monastery, the school has extensive grounds. There is a football pitch, basketball court, barbecue area and many open green spaces where you can relax in the summer sun! The bright, spacious classrooms have excellent facilities, giving you the best learning environment possible. Aside from the classrooms, there is a dining room, assembly hall, games room and, of course, on-site accommodation.

Course
You can learn German in Höchst for anything from two weeks to seven weeks. However long you choose to study for, with 20 German lessons every week and small class sizes (just 12 students, on average), you’re sure to learn German quickly! Our teachers are all native German speaking tutors, with lots of expertise and experience in teaching German to Young Students from all over the world. They teach using role-plays, discussions and a variety of media, so even the youngest students will remain interested. You can take the course whether you’re a total beginner or can already speak German well, as the classes run at several levels. One thing is for certain, you’ll leave Germany with much improved language skills and some great memories!
Accommodation
For the duration of your German course for Young Students in Höchst, you’ll live in our on-site residence, in the same building where German lessons take place. There are double and triple rooms, all well decorated in contemporary styles. Bathroom and shower facilities are shared between the students on each floor. You’ll eat your meals in the dining room at the residence, giving you the perfect opportunity to practice your German with your fellow students.

Activities
So that you really enjoy your summer in Höchst, staff at our school organize a varied activities program for you. In the afternoons, you can swim in an outdoor pool, play football and basketball, have guided tours of the area or take part in theatre workshops. There are also afternoon excursions to beautiful Darmstadt, the historic town of Aschaffenburg and Breuburg Castle.
Your evenings will be spent socializing with other students on forest walks, theme nights and party nights! On Saturdays, you’ll discover different parts of Germany on full-day excursions. Walk amongst the skyscrapers of Frankfurt, explore the ancient city of Würzburg or see the spectacular castle of Heidelberg!
TransfersWe recommend that you fly to Frankfurt Airport, where representatives from our school can pick you up, if you so choose, for an extra fee. School staff can also return you to Frankfurt Airport once your summer in Höchst is over.
SuitabilityThis course provides a wonderful opportunity for anyone aged eight to 14 years-old to learn German this summer. Enjoy the beautiful countryside around Höchst and the excellent facilities at our on-site residence!
