Lindau is a beautiful, historic island town in southern Germany, right on the shores of Lake Constance. Lindau is at the meeting point of three countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and enjoys a truly international atmosphere. The city’s safe, pedestrianised centre is particularly suitable for younger students.
Students on our German Summer Course receive 20 German lessons per week. All of our teachers are fully-qualified and experienced native German teachers. We keep our class size small (max 14 students) so each student gets plenty of individual help and attention. There are 4 lessons daily from 9.00-12.30pm.
Students are accommodated in twin rooms with our carefully selected German host families. All our host families live within 15 minutes of the school by bus or by bike.
All sports and cultural activities are supervised by our fully qualified staff. Although students are allowed to go out during their free time, they are subject to a curfew agreed between parents and the school.
A daily afternoon activity program is included in the price of the course, including sports and cultural activities. The program also includes a 2-day trip to Munich, one half day excursion during the weekend, and one full day excursion at weekends.
This total immersion German Summer Course is suitable for students who have been studying German for a year or more. Students of all nationalities, aged 13-16 years attend this course, ensuring a real international mix.
Optional airport transfers on arrival and departure from/to Zurich, Munich, Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen are available for an additional charge.
