Location
The German Residential Summer School for Teenagers is located 5km from the city centre of Potsdam, at Lake Schwielowsee, one of the many lakes surrounding Berlin and Potsdam. Einstein loved this part of Potsdam and he had his summer house here, right next to our German Summer school.
CourseThere are 20 German lessons each week and lessons take place in the morning. German classes take place in the same building as the residence. There are 7 spacious classrooms, lounge and a cafeteria. All teachers are native speakers and fully qualified in the teaching of German as a foreign language.
Accommodation
Students are accommodated in the on-site residential bungalows. Full board accommodation is provided with 2 students sharing a room and bathroom.
Level of supervisionTutors and monitors live on-site, providing 24-hour supervision.
ActivitiesA choice of 2 sports and cultural activities per day are included in the program (barbecue in castle grounds, boat trip on River Havel, skating, swimming, badminton, film evenings, cycling, discos). There is also 1 full-day and 3 half-day excursions each week (Berlin, Babelsberg film studios).
TransfersAirport transfers on arrival and departure from/to Berlin airport are included in the price.
SuitabilityThis Residential Summer school is ideal for students who wish to learn German whilst accommodated in a campus-based Residence in beautiful surroundings. Students of all nationalities, all aged 14-17 years, attend this German program ensuring a real international mix.
