Accommodation
For accommodation, students have two choices - the school’s residence or a Spanish host family. The residence is just 20 minutes away from the school. Accommodation in the residence consists of single and double rooms, many of which are en-suite, and all of which are air-conditioned. There are also shared bathrooms for each floor, three common rooms with TVs and a kitchen, where students can have two or three meals a day.
Stay with a Spanish host family and, again, you can choose between a single or a double room, and full-board (3 meals/day) or half-board (2 meals/day) accommodation. Andalusian people are famous for their friendliness, and our host families welcome students into their family, treating them to regional cuisine and giving them opportunity to practice their Spanish.
Our school goes to great lengths to make sure that host families are suitable, in every way, to look after young students. Students will live a maximum of 20 minutes away from the school.
Level of supervision24-hour supervision is provided in the school and in the residence. Host families supervise the students staying with them. There are escorts for students on all activities outside the classroom. Students aged 15 or above get some time each week to explore the city without supervision, provided that they have consent from their parents.

ActivitiesOur Granada school runs a packed activities program, designed to give students a glimpse of Spain and Spanish culture, improve their Spanish and help them make friends on the course. Every afternoon and evening after Spanish lessons, they can join other students in various sporting and cultural activities. For instance, on their first full day in Granada, students will be given a guided tour of the city.
On this Spanish course for Young Students, participants can also take professional lessons in horse-riding, for an extra fee. This optional extra will give them eight horse-riding lessons over their two-week course.
In addition to daily activities, the school co-ordinates afternoon trips, showing students the best of Granada. They will see the exquisitely-decorated palaces and beautifully-designed gardens of the Alhambra - a must for anybody visiting Granada. Students will also be taken to see Flamenco shows and the Royal Chapel, the lavish final resting place of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, who brought Granada back under Spanish control in 1492.
Like Granada, Cordoba and Seville were under Moorish rule for centuries, resulting in the fascinating mixture of influences to be seen in these wonderful cities today. The school devotes day-long excursions to Cordoba, Seville and other locations, at the weekends.
TransfersFor a small fee, our school can arrange for one of its representatives to pick students up from Granada airport.
SuitabilityFor any teenager between the ages of 14 and 18, this course offers a great chance to learn Spanish in a fantastic location. Granada has history, culture and everything else that a young student could wish for!
