I’ve just finished four weeks in Costa Rica and it was the most incredible experience of my life! The school in Flamingo Beach is amazing and classes are small, so you learn better. Plus, if there is not a group for your level, then you get offered private classes – which is fantastic\u00a0– but there was always a class for my level!<\/p>\n
Also, everyday at break there is fresh fruit, fruit drinks and something savoury, all for free!! Not what you normally expect! I loved my ‘second breakfast’, sitting by the school pool, relaxing in the sun with my classmates.<\/p>\n
The school is by some great beaches and with your student pass you also have free access to a nearby hotel swimming pool and discounts in certain bars!!!<\/p>\n

Whilst I was there I lived with a Costa Rican family and it was such a good cultural experience. Life in Costa Rica is good… The living conditions can be basic, but the host families are really welcoming, and living a different lifestyle is all part of the experience!!<\/p>\n
The school offer great excursions during the week and weekends. You can go horse riding on the beach, swim in waterfalls, trek through rainforests and fly through the rainforest canopy on zip lines… I went on a trip to a volcano organized by the school, with a visit to some nearby hot springs on the way down – It was the most amazing day, something that words cannot do justice to… simply the most incredible and wonderful 24 hours of my life!<\/p>\n

I also visited the student residence in Monteverde, on the edge of the most incredible rain forests you could imagine… We went through the forest canopy on \u2018zip lines\u2019, walked high above the forest floor on suspended foot bridges (seeing the canopy wildlife from next to it, rather than looking up from the forest floor!), and later on went white water rafting…<\/p>\n
Costa Rica is such a diverse country with so much to see and do and the school really help you experience as much of it as you want to\u2026. It would be a shame to come so far and not see all that Costa Rica has to offer… The wildlife is so beautiful and so varied… I loved it when I saw my first sloth, high up in the forest canopy… There is just so much to see!<\/p>\n
I totally recommend Costa Rica for everyone, with its beautiful beaches for sun seekers and amazing rainforest, and white water rafting for the more adventurous… and at the same time, of course, learning Spanish!<\/p>\n
The school in Flamingo just couldn\u2019t have been better located, right by a beautiful sandy beach\u2026with friendly staff and great teachers! The school swimming pool was a real bonus!<\/p>\n
Everyone should see Costa Rica at least once!<\/p>\n
I myself am going back as soon as I can!<\/p>\n
