One of my best friends comes from Moscow, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.applelanguages.com\/en\/learn\/russian\/russia.php\">Russia<\/a>. We see each other a few times a year. It&#8217;s not possible for me get a visa for Russia every time we want to meet up, so we mostly see each other in Germany, where I live. This is convenient for her as she holds both German and Russian citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>However, I stayed in Russia with my friend for a little less than a month last year and got to discover various parts of this fascinating country, including the magnificent city of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.applelanguages.com\/en\/learn\/russian\/russia\/st-petersburg.php\">St. Petersburg<\/a> &#8211; now one of my favourite cities in the world!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This article will feature my six favourite places for food in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n<p>It may even inspire you to take a language course there!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Bolshe Caf\u00e9 (\u0411\u043e\u043b\u044c\u0448\u0435 \u041a\u043e\u0444\u0435)<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 not your average coffee shop.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Bonch Caf\u00e9 (\u0431\u043e\u043d\u0447 \u043a\u0430\u0444\u0435)<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Hipster-ish coffee shop with a menu ranging from soups and salads to tapas, burgers and ice cream. Great place for a coffee or a long lunch with friends!<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Cameo (\u043a\u0430\u043c\u0435\u044f)<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 hidden local and traditional sweets shop. You will not believe your eyes! I am crazy about their \u00ab \u0414\u0440\u0430\u0436\u0435 \u00bb (dragees) which they produce in many different flavours.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Auroville Cafe (\u041a\u0430\u0444\u0435 \u0410\u0443\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0438\u043b\u043b\u044c)<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 vegan &amp; vegetarian heaven with a wide range of soups, salads, cakes, breads, vegetable overload and much more! This is the perfect place for a late brunch or lunch.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pic-box img-responsive alignright wp-image-4178 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.applelanguages.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/stpeters1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><em><strong>Ferma Restaurant (\u0420\u0435\u0441\u043c\u043e\u0440\u0430\u043d Ferma)<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 chic farmer\u2019s restaurant, fresh agricultural food, ideal for both lunch &amp; dinner.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Park Giuseppe (\u041f\u0430\u0440\u043a \u0414\u0436\u0443\u0437\u0435\u043f\u043f\u0435)<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Italian cuisine revisited. My favourite dish here is the shrimp and calamari risotto. Lovely place for a romantic dinner!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>St. Petersburg is a beautiful Baltic capital which is DEFINITELY worth seeing. You can make the most of a couple of days or try living there for several weeks.
