{"id":5614,"date":"2019-01-30T13:14:10","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T13:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.applelanguages.com\/blog\/?p=5614"},"modified":"2019-02-05T13:30:24","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T13:30:24","slug":"brexit-guarantee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.applelanguages.com\/blog\/information\/brexit-guarantee.php","title":{"rendered":"Your Apple Languages BREXIT GUARANTEE"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pic-box alignright wp-image-5644 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.applelanguages.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/brexit.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/strong>Will Brexit affect my language course?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, we don\u2019t think so \u2013 but we will guarantee that you are not affected regardless.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are planning on taking a language course and travelling to Europe from the UK, or vice versa, there\u2019s no need to worry!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the EU and UK are able to reach a deal for Brexit then there will be no disruption, as we will enter a two-year period of transition.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If no deal is reached by 29<sup>th<\/sup> March 2019 then there might be issues regarding certain aspects of travel, but we are confident that the majority of trips to and from the EU will be able to continue as normal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the unlikely event that Brexit causes travel restrictions that make you unable to attend your course, we will be happy to:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Change\/postpone your language course without an additional fee. <\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Refund you in full.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What about my passport?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do not need a new passport but, as with all travel, it is recommended that you have at least six months left on your passport from your date of arrival. If a deal is reached then the transition period applies and all British passports will still be valid for European travel up to and including the date of expiry.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest regulations suggest that, in the event of a no-deal Brexit, holidaymakers who previously renewed their passport before it expired may need to have more than 15 months valid on their passport before they travel. This would be due to the voiding of any additional months added to the passport validity period, as Europe would only consider 10 valid years from the date of issue, regardless of the date of renewal. You can check how your passport stacks up here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.passport.service.gov.uk\/check-a-passport\">www.passport.service.gov.uk\/check-a-passport<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What about my flight?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will need to check different regulations with the airline you use to book your flight. However, ABTA, the UK\u2019s main travel agent body has stated:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p>&#8220;There is nothing to suggest that you will not be able to continue with your holiday plans after 29 March. \u00a0Even in a no-deal scenario, the European Commission has said flights to and from the UK will still be able to operate.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abta.com\/tips-and-advice\/brexit-advice-for-travellers\">ABTA<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Using your credit card for purchases over \u00a3100 also gives you added reassurance under the Consumer Credit Act.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exchange rate fluctuations<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once a booking is made with Apple Language Courses it is secured at that price, regardless of any future fluctuations in the exchange rate.
