I arrived in Costa Rica without any problems at all on Saturday evening and slept for over 10 hours at the B&B in San Joaqiun de Flores. On Sunday I and the other students staying at the B&B did get to enjoy a very bumpy bus ride to Monteverde.<\/p>\n
I was really excited to meet my host family and was very pleased when I met them and found out that they were really nice people. They didn’t speak a word of English so I got to practice my Spanish immediately! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I noticed right away that my Spanish was much better than I thought it was. School started on monday morning. I’m in the same group as an american university teacher and we’re got a really nice teacher. The studies are very intensive but I feel that I’m making progress all the time. Today I surprised myself by managing to explain how the Finnish democracy works in Spanish! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Tonight I’m going to compare my football skills with the Costa Ricans – that will be great fun! Yesterday me and a couple of other students went on a guided night walk in the rainforest. We got to see many interesting animals, for example a big tarantula and an enormous amount of army ants!<\/p>\n
Now it’s time to get home to my host family and do my homework!<\/p>\n
