Italian and Pizza-making Course in Naples, Italy
When it comes to pizza, Neapolitans are some of the most knowledgeable and opinionated people in the world! Pizza can be traced back in Naples as far as 1889, when cook Raffaele Esposito prepared a special pizza in honour of Queen Margherita of Italy. There is no better location than Naples in which to learn the professional technique of pizza-making! Learn how to create the perfect pizza from simple ingredients such as olive oil, flour, water, tomato and mozzarella cheese.
By the end of this 8 or 12 week course, you will have grown in confidence with your Italian language skills and be competent in every aspect of pizza making and the running of a professional pizza parlour.
You’ll start with 4 or 8 weeks on the Intensive Italian Course. This amounts to 80 or 160 hours of language tuition. During the Intensive Italian course our school will also give you an hour per day of individual pizza making related vocabularly.
This is then followed by 4 weeks on a professional pizza making course, amounting to 105 hours of specific, professional training.
Under the guidance of a professional pizza chef in Naples, you’ll learn advanced techniques in kneading, seasoning, dressing and baking. The course will cover the history and culture of Neapolitan Pizza. You will learn what ingredients are crucial to perfecting your pizzas, the equipment required to make and cook them and how to mix, mould, season, add flavour and dressing and baking techniques.
This course is suitable for students who want to learn how to make Neapolitan Pizza to a professional standard.
