English and Surfing in Los Angeles

Not only is Los Angeles the entertainment capital of the world, but it is also a dream location for surfers and home to some of the U.S.A’s prime surfing spots! In fact, the Southern Californian city is known throughout the world for its surf culture, attracting surfers from across the globe all year round. Our English and surfing course in Los Angeles is suitable for complete beginners and more advanced surfers alike, allowing students to combine intensive language learning with afternoons spent riding the waves. From gentle beginner waves at Venice beach, to point breaks at Manhattan and Malibu, L.A offers consistent surf conditions for 12 months of the year, no matter what your level!
English and Surfing
On our English and surfing course in Los Angeles, you will receive 20 English lessons each week, which will be held on a Monday to Friday basis, in the mornings. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 12 students in each group, allowing for a more personalised learning experience. In addition to your English lessons, you will have 4 surfing lessons per week, with each session lasting for a duration of 2 hours. Surfing lessons generally take place in the afternoons, after your English lessons finish, but this is of course dependent upon weather and sea conditions. The price of the course includes the use of all necessary equipment, as well as transportation to and from the beach.

Level: This course is suitable for students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
- Host families on a bed and breakfast or half-board basis. Staying with an American family provides a great opportunity to practice your English skills outside of the classroom

Each month, our school in Los Angeles publishes an extensive activity programme, giving students the chance to sharpen up on their English language skills in a real-life context. Activities range from sporting activities and movie nights, to excursions to nearby points of interest. Visit Universal Studios, Sea World, San Diego, San Francisco or even Las Vegas!

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) serves as L.A.’s main airport. From there, we can arrange a private transfer to take you directly to your accommodation.
