Learn English in Richmond-Upon-Thames, one of the most beautiful areas of London! A favourite with the rich and famous (including the British Royal Family) for hundreds of years, and famous for its stunning Royal Parks, historic architecture, high standard of living and vibrant town centre, Richmond is the perfect location for teenagers to study English!

This course takes place on a lovely university campus at the top of Richmond Hill, just 10-15 minutes from the town centre! You will be accommodated on the same campus where you will receive your lessons, so you could combine learning English with a taste of university life!

Courses in London Richmond

You can choose between 20 and 28 English lessons per week, depending on how intensive you wish your course to be! Students taking the ‘Intensive’ course (28 lessons per week) may receive slightly less activities than those on the ‘Standard’ course (20 lessons per week), as they will be in afternoon lessons in place of some of their afternoon activities. Whichever course you choose, you will be taught by highly qualified, native speakers, who will be very experienced in teaching English as a foreign language to international students of this age group. You will be encouraged to practice speaking English as much as possible whilst you are studying at our school in Richmond, to increase your confidence in using English on an everyday basis!

Accommodation

You will stay in residence accommodation, located on the same campus as the school, in either shared or single rooms. Members of staff will also be living in this accommodation, to ensure that they are on hand to provide 24 hour care and supervision. This accommodation is offered on a full board basis, meaning that you will be provided with your breakfast, lunch and evening meals. You will even be provided with a snack at bedtime!

Supervision

Students will be fully supervised whilst on this course. Students are not permitted to leave the campus without an accompanying member of staff. Staff members also live in the residence accommodation, so that they are able to provide 24 hour care and supervision. There is a very high staff to student ratio (there is usually one staff member for every 10 students).

Activities

This programme offers five daytime activities and seven evening activities per week. You can play sports such as football and tennis, there are arts and crafts sessions, and the school also runs conversation clubs, screens English language films, and arranges quizzes and parties. There are also usually two full-day excursions per week to places such as London, Oxford and Blenheim Palace, Canterbury and Leeds Castle, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Brighton, and theme parks!

Suitability

This course is suitable for teenagers aged between 14 and 17 years who wish to study English exclusively with students of a similar age to themselves on a private, secure campus in one of London’s most attractive areas!

How to get there

Airport transfers (both ways) are included for students arriving and departing from London Heathrow and Stansted Airports on Sundays (the arrival and departure day for this course).
