The first thing to say about our courses is that they are suitable for students of all ages, nationalities and levels (from complete beginner to advanced) and can be arranged throughout the year for a duration of 1-36 weeks or more!
All our courses are total immersion courses, meaning that the target language is the only language used in the classroom from the outset. This is certainly the best way to learn a language. All of our teachers are very experienced in teaching their language as a foreign language to international students of all levels (from complete beginner to advanced). They all have a university degree, plus a specific qualification in the teaching of their language as a foreign language.
All our courses are taught using 'communicative' teaching methods, with an emphasis on students acquiring a practical ability to use the language rather than just a theoretical knowledge of it. Of course, you will naturally cover all aspects of the language, including speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Which course to choose?
As people have different needs, interests and different reasons for wanting to learn a language, we offer a wide range of language courses available at different levels, in a variety of locations.
Our language courses include:
- Semi-Intensive courses (10-15 lessons per week)
- Intensive courses (20 lessons per week)
- Super-Intensive courses (25+ lessons per week)
- Intensive Plus courses (20 group lessons plus private lessons)
- Business language courses
- Club 50+ courses
- Courses for Young Students
- A-level revision courses
- Exam preparation courses
- Language + Volunteer Work courses
- Language + Work Experience courses
- Language + Special Interest (e.g. cooking, dancing, surfing, skiing etc.)
- Courses for Teachers
Most courses are suitable for students of all levels, from complete beginner to advanced. The difference, therefore, between a 'Semi-Intensive' course and an 'Intensive' course is the number of lessons per week, and not the level (as explained below, you will be placed in a suitable group with students of a similar level to yourself).
Some courses do have a minimum level requirement, in order for the students attending the course to benefit as much as possible from them.
Courses that do usually have a minimum level requirement include 'Business Language', and 'Language and Work Experience' courses.
If you are interested in taking one of these courses, but are not sure if you have the required level, please do contact us. Our experienced Language Travel Advisers will be pleased to help you find a suitable course for you!
If you just wish to improve your overall level of the language, then one of our 'Semi-Intensive', 'Intensive' or 'Super-Intensive' courses would probably be the right choice for you!
Alternatively, if there is a particular area of the language that you wish to concentrate on, then private lessons, as a stand-alone course, or in addition to group lessons, will allow you to do so!
It is important that you choose the language, course and location which meet your particular requirements.
You may wish to learn Spanish in South America, or attend a French language and cookery course in France, learn Italian in Italy or combine a German course with skiing.
Whatever your reasons for studying, it is important to look at all the possibilities, to consider all the options and to make the best choice for you.
In order that you choose the right language course and location for you, we would strongly suggest that you contact us, to discuss your particular requirements.
Our experienced Language Travel Advisors know our schools well and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding our courses.
