Lignano is the perfect choice for your Italian summer course, as it is a beautiful beach location on the Adriatic coast! Nestled between pine trees and the sea, our school is located in an extensive park and is a safe, comfortable environment for students aged 12-18 years! Famous for its golden sands, Lignano is a very popular holiday resort amongst Italians and our school has its own private stretch of beach!

You will be placed in a group based on your level of Italian for your Italian lessons. However, for activities you will be grouped in terms of ages. The park in which our school is located offers excellent sporting facilities; including soccer and handball fields; basketball, volleyball and tennis courts; as well as a swimming pool!

Courses

On your first day you will take a level test and this will allow our colleagues at the school to place you in a suitable group, with students of a similar level to yourself. You will receive 20 Italian lessons per week and will be taught by a fully-qualified, native Italian-speaking teacher.

Accommodation

You will stay in the school’s on-site residence, where you will usually share a room with one to three other students of the same gender. All rooms have a private bathroom and you will be provided with all your meals.

Supervision

You will be supervised at all times whilst you are in lessons, on activities, or in their accommodation, although the degree of supervision will depend on your age. Younger students aged 12-13 years will not be permitted any unsupervised free time. Students aged 14-16 years will have some unsupervised free time and will be able to move around the park freely. They will also be allowed some unsupervised time whilst on excursions, although they will be given meeting points and times that must be strictly adhered to. Older students aged 17-18 years will be allowed more freedom as befits their age, although group leaders will still be on hand to support students and monitor behaviour.

Activities

You will take part in activities with students of a similar age to yourself and therefore the activities will be tailored to your age group. Typical activities arranged include a variety of sports (such as tennis, football, volleyball, swimming and skating), writing and editing the school’s magazine, theatre workshops, evening walks in town, parties, barbecues on the beach and beach games! The school also regularly arranges excursions to local places of interest, such as Venice, Verona, Trieste and Udine.

Suitability

If you are aged between 12 and 18 years and wish to learn Italian with other students of a similar age to yourself, in a stunning seaside location on Italy’s north-eastern coast, then this course is perfect for you!

Transfers

Airport transfers can be arranged from Venice, Trieste or Treviso Airports, although these are not included in the course price. We can also arrange transfers from Latisana Railway Station (please note that this is also not included in the course price). Please do not hesitate to contact us for further details.
