Courses

Our school’s most popular courses are the Standard and Intensive programs, which consist of 20 and 30 English lessons per week, respectively. The Standard course runs from 09:00 to 12:45 each weekday, leaving you with your afternoons free to explore L.A. and California. Taking place from 09:00 to 15:30, the Intensive course helps you to learn more over the same period.

The most effective way to learn English is with Private Lessons. As you’ll be the only student, classes will be tailored to suit your requirements and your teacher can devote all of their time to improving your language skills. You’ll quickly overcome any problems you may have with the language and learn more English than you ever thought possible!

You can take Private Lessons to complement a group-based course. In addition to 20 group classes each week, the Combined Course includes 10 individual classes, which are ideal for reinforcing language learnt during group sessions.

If you plan to take a long-term English course in Los Angeles, you may wish to consider an Academic Year program. You’ll become totally immersed in the English language and Californian way of life, enjoying English lessons at a lower weekly price!

Specialised programs are also available, including English & Tennis and Exam Preparation courses. There’s even an English & Surfing course, so you can make the most of California’s amazing surf whilst you study!

Students with Host Family

Accommodation

Live with a local, English-speaking host family and your language skills will soon improve. According to your preference, your hosts will provide you with one or two meals per day, as well as all the English practice you could wish for. Our school only works with the most friendly, hospitable people, so you’re guaranteed a warm welcome to America!

Alternatively, you could treat yourself to a comfortable hotel room. Two of our school’s chosen hotels are in Westwood, just a five-minute walk away from the school, whilst a third lies close to the beach in Santa Monica.

During July and August, our school operates a student residence on the UCLA campus. You’ll have access to UCLA’s superb facilities, which include a fitness centre, tennis courts and swimming pools! Taking classes on-site, this is a great way to spend more time with your fellow students.

Activities

Enjoy our school’s varied activity program whilst you learn English in Los Angeles. You could be touring the city, watching the L.A. Dodgers play baseball, shopping on Rodeo Drive, playing sports, or dining out with classmates.

Our school also organises half day and full day trips, showing you the best of California and beyond! Typical destinations for excursions include Universal Studios, Sea World, San Diego, San Francisco and Las Vegas.

How to get there

Los Angeles International Airport is the main airport serving L.A., and the only one that receives regular international flights. For an extra fee, our school can collect you from the airport and take you directly to your accommodation.
