English Club 50+ courses, Edinburgh

For a combination of natural beauty and rich history, come to learn English with us in Scotland’s breathtaking capital city. Edinburgh is a historical jewel!

The unique character of the city is determined by two distinct areas: the Old Town, dominated by a medieval fortress and the neoclassical New Town. Development of the New Town has made a huge impact on urban planning throughout the rest of Europe! The combination of these two areas of Edinburgh, each filled with impressive and important buildings, creates a truly stunning urban landscape. Edinburgh is described by many as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Both the New and Old Town were together declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.

Discover the world-famous castle, situated on the top of a volcanic rock. Take in the outstanding, panoramic views from the summit of Arthur’s Seat (250m high), the tallest of Edinburgh’s seven hills and another impressive feature of the city’s skyline. Visit the historic Grassmarket, with its fine Victorian buildings, coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques. Stroll down Princes Street, through Princes Gardens and soak up the atmosphere of the Old Town with its cobbled streets and the famous Royal Mile, dating from medieval times.

Our school in Edinburgh is situated in the most prestigious area of the city centre. Here you can improve and expand on your English language skills whilst enjoying spectacular views of the Old Town and the castle!
