Our Italian Club 50+ course in Milan is offered at our general Italian language school, situated in the vibrant Navigli district, known for its charm and lively ambiance. Just a short walk from the Porta Genova metro station, the school is conveniently connected to famous landmarks like Piazza del Duomo, accessible within minutes by public transport. The school itself features seven classrooms with audiovisual equipment, Wi-Fi access, and a terrace overlooking a quiet park which is an ideal space for students to relax and socialise before and after their Italian classes.

Club 50+ course in Milan

The Club 50+ package in Milan includes 36 Italian lessons over two weeks, specifically designed to enhance your speaking skills. In small class sizes, participants take a placement test on the first day to ensure they are placed at the appropriate level in Italian. Please note that this course requires a basic knowledge of Italian and is not suitable for complete beginners.

Following your placement test and orientation on the first Monday, you’ll attend four 45-minute lessons each weekday for two weeks, running through to the second Friday. On that final day, instead of lessons, you’ll enjoy a special excursion. Please read on for more information about the activities in Milan.

Accommodation

Our Italian school in Milan offers students the opportunity to stay with a local Host Family, providing a fully immersive Italian experience. Living with a host family allows students to practice Italian daily and experience authentic Italian culture in a welcoming environment. Host families can range from couples to single parents and individuals, many of whom have partnered with our school for years. Feedback is regularly reviewed to ensure a high standard of comfort and an authentic cultural experience. Special requests regarding hosts are welcomed, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

For those seeking more independence, Shared Apartments are a great alternative. Here, students can live with other international learners, fostering cultural exchange and language practice in a lively, engaging setting. Shared apartments offer a self-catering option, with single or twin rooms (for students traveling together). Each apartment is fully furnished and includes a shared kitchen and bathroom. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels, and utilities (heating, electricity, and water) are provided. All apartments are vetted by our school and located in residential areas about 20-30 minutes from the school by public transport.
If you prefer independent accommodation, such as a private flat or hotel, you are welcome to arrange these yourself and book the Club 50+ course only.

The Milan Club 50+ programme offers an incredible variety of social and cultural activities to enhance your Italian language learning. Older students in Milan can enjoy a rich array of activities and guided tours that bring the city’s vibrant history and culture to life. From exploring the grand architecture of the iconic Duomo to discovering the masterpieces at the Pinacoteca di Brera, each tour offers an insightful glimpse into Italy’s artistic and historical legacy.

Take a guided stroll through Milan’s famous fashion district, admire Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, and visit hidden gems like picturesque courtyards and fragrant gardens. Culinary tours offer the chance to savour traditional Italian cuisine, while guided walks through districts like Navigli reveal charming canals and bustling local markets. These experiences provide an ideal way for older students to deepen their understanding of Milan while practicing Italian in authentic settings. Transport, entrance fees, and guided commentary are usually included.

Sample Schedule:

First Week:
• Morning: Italian classes with a level test and orientation on the first Monday.
• Afternoon activities include an introduction to Milan, a cooking lesson, and guided visits to local places of interest.
• The week concludes with an excursion.

Second Week:
• Morning: Italian classes with a lecture on Italian fashion or wines.
• Afternoon: Visits to a local villas and a winery.
• The final day includes a full-day trip.
• Departure on Saturday.

Suitability

This programme is ideal for older students wanting to study Italian with other international learners of a similar age. Milan is a fantastic location for anyone interested in Italian fashion, history, art, culture and cuisine.

The Italian language lessons on the Club 50+ course are is not suitable for complete beginners but students with A2 level or higher in Italian are very welcome.

Our Italian language school in Milan offers convenient airport transfers from Malpensa, Orio al Serio (Bergamo), and Linate airports, providing a hassle-free arrival and transport to your accommodation.

The school is ideally situated near local amenities. A convenience store is 500 meters away, while a café, metro stop, bus stop, and train station (Porta Genova) are just 80-200 meters from the school.
