Club 50+ course in Rome

There are 40 Italian lessons over the two week course, four lessons per day Monday to Friday. Class sizes are small with a maximum class size of 10 students. To ensure you are taught at the appropriate level your Italian language lessons will be in classes of mixed ages according to your precise level of the language. All teachers are fully qualified and experienced in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language.

On your first day, students are asked to arrive at 8:00 AM for a placement test. Once all students have arrived and had their levels checked, your group placement and lesson schedule will be confirmed to you and your Italian classes will begin.

You will be able to purchase the course book for your group once the placements have been confirmed; these cost approximately €20 per level, which should be paid for on-site.

Accommodation

On your Club 50+ course in Rome, we recommend staying with a carefully selected Italian Host Family for an immersive, authentic experience. Hosts provide single or twin rooms (for two students travelling together) and home-cooked meals on either a breakfast-only or half-board basis. Host families may include traditional families, single parents, or elderly hosts, all chosen for their warmth and hospitality. Most families host 1 to 4 students, with shared kitchen and bathroom access. Note that a local tax of €3.50 per day (for the first 10 days) may apply in some accommodations, payable directly to the host.

Alternatively, students can choose a Shared Apartment, offering more independence with a self-catering option. These apartments accommodate 2 to 6 residents, including other students or local Italians, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Shared apartments are available in Standard and Plus categories, with Shared Apartment Plus providing a higher level of comfort.

Accommodation is available from the Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday after it ends, with an option to add an extra night if needed. You are also welcome to book the course alone and arrange your own accommodation or contact us for any further information or recommendations on independent apartments or hotels.
