Spanish Club 50+ course in Palma de Mallorca
Our Club 50+ Spanish programme in Palma de Mallorca offers an enriching blend of language learning and cultural discovery, tailored for mature travellers seeking more than just a classroom experience.
Located on the edge of the charming historic old town, our Palma school provides easy access to the city’s best cafés, restaurants, and cultural landmarks. Weekly guided tours (available at select times of year) help you explore local highlights, from authentic tapas spots to iconic sights, with fellow Club 50+ students.
The school is modern, light-filled and air-conditioned, featuring digital whiteboards and wheelchair accessible ground-floor classrooms. Private paid parking and excellent public transport connections make getting around simple and stress-free.
Beyond the classroom, Palma offers a rich tapestry of history, architecture, and Mediterranean charm. Wander through restored ancient streets, visit the breathtaking 13th-century Gothic cathedral, or enjoy leisurely afternoons along the picturesque promenade.
For those who love culture, discover art at Es Baluard Contemporary Art Museum (including works by Picasso) or indulge in boutique shopping between relaxed café stops. Prefer the outdoors? Take a bike ride along the coast or unwind on one of Palma Bay’s six nearby beaches, finishing the day with a drink at a rooftop bar overlooking the harbour.
This is more than a Spanish language course, it’s a well-crafted cultural experience designed for older language learners who value discovery, comfort and connection.

Accommodation
For a real immersion experience opt to stay with a host family. This type of accommodation is arranged on a half-board basis, meaning you will receive a continental breakfast and dinner each day. Your homestay will be carefully selected by our colleagues at the school and could see you staying with a single person (man or woman), a couple, or a family. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided (pack your own beach towel). Host families live around 20-30 minutes from the school, either on foot or by public transport. For added comfort you might like to choose ‘host family plus’ accommodation, which is generally a little closer to the school and offers more modern homes. Whether you choose standard or plus accommodation, you will be sure of the same warm welcome!
In most cases students share the bathroom with the family members but a private bathroom can be requested (at extra cost) if preferred (subject to availability).
As standard, accommodation is arranged from the Sunday before the course begins to the Saturday after the course finishes. If you plan to study for one week only you might like to book an extra night on departure to enable you to take part in any full day excursions that might be arranged at the weekend.
Activities
The activity programme arranged exclusively for students aged 50 years and over really showcases everything that Mallorca has to offer.
