Wine Tasting course
The wine lessons and tasting sessions in Florence are held on an astonishing terrace with a 360-degree view overlooking the city rooftops. This unique setting enables you to experience all the magic that Florence has to offer, whilst enjoying your passion for wine.
Our sommelier, but more importantly our local expert wine lover, will guide you on an unforgettable journey through the many aspects of the Italian wine world, focusing on the incredible variety on offer. You will learn about and sample wines from local Tuscan producers to other world-famous varieties. Participants will not only taste exceptional Italian wines but also gain unique insights into their production, the people behind them, the history of each bottle, and the local traditions that make Italian wines an integral part of the nation’s identity.
At the start of every wine lesson, students receive a handout containing the lesson's content and details about the wines they'll taste. The initial segment is dedicated to theory, covering not only the technical aspects of each wine but also delving into its history, traditions, and cultural significance. Throughout the session, students will have the opportunity to sample three different wines, each paired with some of the region's most renowned local food delicacies.
A visit on Saturday to a local producer will provide a firsthand experience of the work behind the final product. This immersive experience takes you into the enchanting ambiance of a Tuscan vineyard and historic wine cellars. During the visit, you'll have the opportunity to meet the people who craft this magic, and, perhaps more significantly, savour a taste of it!
