Courses in Montreal
You can learn French on an Intensive course of 20 or 24 lessons per week, which cover all main aspects of the French language (speaking, listening, reading and writing) with an emphasis on communication. If you would like to learn at a faster rate, you might wish to consider a Super Intensive course which includes 30 lessons per week. All group lessons are conducted in classes of no more than 15 students of a similar ability.
Alternatively, you can choose to take a course of private lessons, which will be tailored to your specific requirements. They can be used to concentrate on areas of the French language that you are especially interested in, or your weaker areas that you feel you need to improve.
We encourage students to stay with French speaking host families, which will give you the perfect opportunity to become totally immersed in the language and culture of Montreal. Host families are carefully selected by our colleagues at the school and provide a warm and welcoming environment for your stay in the city. Your host family will provide half board (2 meals each day), giving you even more opportunities to practise! For accommodation with a private bathroom, just select the Host Family Plus option.
Alternatively, students can stay in a nearby student residence, located just 15 minutes’ walk from the school. The residence is comprised of apartments accommodating 3-5 students, each in their own room. The residence is equipped with shared kitchens and bathrooms and provides students with access to laundry facilities, a gym and Wi-Fi. There are also common areas where you can relax and meet other students, and a recreational room with a pool table.
Like many of our other French language schools, our school in Montreal organises a cultural program of visits and activities, which helps students use their French skills outside of the classroom. Activities may include welcome tours of Montreal, visits to places on interest within the city, sports activities, karaoke evenings, boat cruised along the St. Lawrence River, cycling trips, and even excursions to Niagara Falls and Quebec. Your language immersion programme wouldn’t be complete without our school’s activity programme!
