Our school in St Petersburg
If you choose to attend a Russian language course at our school in St Petersburg, your classes will take place on the top floor of a beautiful 18th Century mansion. The mansion was formerly the home of one of Russia’s most celebrated poets, and is just 30 minutes’ walk from the very centre of the city, and the Nevskyj prospect, which is one of the city’s main streets. The school has well-equipped classrooms, a recreation hall, a common area for students with complimentary tea and coffee, a computer room with free Internet access and a self-study area. There is also a library complete with a full range of Russian language study materials and TV and video facilities, as well as a café where you can buy drinks and snacks in between classes.

Student reviews & feedback
I had individual lessons and both my teachers, Polina and Larisa, were delightful and endlessly patient. We did a mixture of grammar exercises and conversation, which was exactly what I wanted and needed.
My Russian family (a granny, a mum and a son) were very endearing, patient with my Russian and very generous with the food. I grew attached to them over the week.
I was impressed by all parts of the course: the contact I had with the office in the UK when booking, the friendliness and efficiency of the office in St Petersburg, the quality of my teachers and the warmth of my Russian family. I would like to do it all over again!

The teachers were very friendly and professional. Modern teaching techniques were used, quite a change from my previous experiences in Russia. I benefited enormously from the course. The hotel accommodation was basic but fine. The room was a bit stuffy as there is no air conditioning. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, though none spoke any English. There is wifi in the building, but you need to ask reception about it as there is no information in the room. There is a lovely park attached to the institute. Thank you for a great experience. My partner, who was not studying but who was staying in the accommodation with me, also had a great time. The college kindly issued him with a student card.

The course was really good - taught entirely in Russian. There is a focus on grammar, which is exactly what I needed. We had a really big room - more like an apartment, with a fridge, tv, good bathroom, desk and there is a laundry room too. It is in a good area about 8 minutes walk to the nearest metro.

I thoroughly enjoyed the instructors, school, and fellow students. There were many options regarding excursions, activities, etc. It's a first class language school! The host family and apartment were lovely, pleasant and comfortable. A wonderful experience!
