French and Skiing in Morzine
Located in the French Alps, Morzine is a picturesque mountain town surrounded by charming forests, offering panoramic views of vast open spaces and majestic, sloping hills. Morzine is situated in the Portes du Soleil ski area, making this quaint, Alpine town an ideal location in which to combine your French lessons with skiing or snowboarding. The Portes du Soleil area spans across France and Switzerland, allowing you to immerse yourself in the French language whilst experiencing two separate cultures at once! It offers 650km of pistes for skiers of all levels, including many wide, gentle pistes for beginners.
The school itself is conveniently-located, tucked away right in the centre of Morzine. Ski-lifts are also located in the town-centre, allowing you to ski in the mornings before your French lessons!

Skiing in Morzine
Our French and Skiing / Snowboarding course in Morzine is comprised of 15 French lessons per week, which take place Monday to Friday, as well as 6 days of skiing per week (including a 6-day Portes du Soleil full-area lift pass). During the week, you will ski in the mornings and practice French in the afternoons and on weekends you can ski all day!
The French and skiing course is available from January through to April.
Accommodation
- Shared apartment (self-catered)
- French host family (single rooms) on a bed and breakfast or half-board basis. Half-board includes breakfast and dinner
Activities
Our school in Morzine offer a wide range of optional activities for students, which vary depending upon the time of year.
In winter, activities typically include: skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing.
In summer, some activities on offer are mountain biking, cycling, paragliding, hiking, climbing and water sports (white-water rafting, kayaking, windsurfing, etc.)
Not only does our school offer a wide variety of sports-activities, but also social and cultural events. These may include:

How to get there
Optional transfers to / from Geneva airport can be arranged. It takes around 90 minutes to reach Morzine from Geneva.
