Study on a Spanish course in Ibiza and discover the hidden charms of this beautiful island! Ibiza is famous for its amazing nightlife, but it’s also blessed with stunning beaches, great natural beauty, picturesque villages and a rich history. For instance, in Ibiza town (Eivissa), where our Spanish language school is based, the walled old town dates back more than 400 years!
Within the walls you’ll find atmospheric, narrow streets, art galleries, cosy cafés and the superb Museum of Archaeology, boasting some of the best-preserved Phoenician artefacts in the world. A walk along the walls, meanwhile, is rewarded with dramatic views of the city and its sparkling marina. Journey inland to explore traditional whitewashed villages like Sant Joan de Labritja or Moorish-inspired Balàfia. Ibiza is a destination that has something for everyone!
Courses in Ibiza
All of our school’s courses run at every level, from beginner through to advanced, so you can learn Spanish in Ibiza regardless of your current level!
Our most popular course is the Intensive course of 20 lessons per week, which is designed to raise your overall level of Spanish and improve your general language skills. This course is a great way to learn Spanish or build on your existing language skills, whilst meeting other language enthusiasts. Classes take place either in the morning or the afternoon, meaning that you can spend the remainder of the time exploring the city and sampling the local culture.
For a more Intensive learning experience, you can opt for our Super-Intensive Spanish course of 25 group lessons per week. It combines the Intensive class with an additional daily conversation lesson, which is a great opportunity for students who want to further improve their fluency and confidence.
Or, combine your Intensive Spanish course with 5 or 10 additional private lessons each week, if you have specific topics you would like to cover or simply require more personal attention. You could even customise your curriculum entirely with Private Spanish Lessons only. You’ll choose which topics you’d like to study, as well as the hours of study, allowing for a completely flexible language programme!
Our school in Ibiza also offer specialised courses, including preparation courses for the DELE examination; Club 50+ courses for more mature students, which not only include Intensive Spanish lessons, but also an extensive cultural programme; Teacher Training courses, and mini-group courses of just 3 students in each class!
Let our school arrange accommodation for you! Benefit from the total immersion of host family accommodation, or the opportunities for socialising offered by shared apartments or the school’s student residence.
Host family accommodation is ideal if you want plenty of Spanish practice and breakfast prepared for you each morning. Hone your language skills with native Spanish speakers! All host families are carefully chosen by the school and live no more than a 20-minute walk away from the school.
If you opt for a shared apartment, you’ll be living with between one and five other people (usually students), so you’ll find it easy to make new friends! All apartments have communal kitchens, lounges and bathrooms.
We want you to have an unforgettable time whilst you learn Spanish in Ibiza, and what better way to do so than by immersing yourself not only in the language, but also in the local culture? Our school arranges an exciting array of activities, that are available for all students, and are a great way to socialise with your teachers and classmates, and put your Spanish skills into practice outside the classroom!
Firstly, there’ll be a guided tour of the town, followed by activities such as Flamenco classes, horse riding, museum trips, wine tasting, Spanish movie nights, boat trips and theatre evenings. Our school also organises water sports in Ibiza’s warm Mediterranean waters, including scuba diving, sailing and windsurfing! Please note that some of these activities do carry an extra cost.
Excursions are often planned for Saturdays, with regular destinations including the enchanting island of Formentera and the incredible caves of Can Marca. See more of Spain whilst you study abroad!
