Spanish and Surfing in Cadiz
Do you want to learn Spanish and practise water sports in a peaceful location, surrounded by fascinating history and outstanding natural beauty? Then Cadiz might just be the ideal destination for you! Lying between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, the ancient port city of Cadiz is made up of endless sandy beaches with rolling waves, offering excellent conditions for surfers. And at our school in Cadiz, you can make the most of the glistening wavy waters with a special combined Spanish and surfing course! Whether you have previous experience or not, this course is available to all, so grab your surf-board and join us at the beach!

Spanish and Surfing
Take advantage of the many beaches of Cadiz and combine your Spanish learning with surf lessons! On this course, you will receive 20 Intensive Spanish lessons each week, taking place in the mornings on a Monday to Friday basis. Each lesson will last for a duration of 50 minutes, and students will be grouped into classes of no more than 12.
On top of your Spanish lessons, you will have two additional surf lessons per week, with each lesson lasting 90 minutes. Days/times of surf lessons will be scheduled depending on weather and sea conditions.
Course duration: 1-4 weeks
Level: This course is suitable for students of all levels, from beginner through to advanced!
Accommodation
- Stay with a local host family for an authentic experience of Spanish language and culture! Choose between bed and breakfast, half-board or full-board options.
- Opt for a shared apartment if you would like to live with locals, but prefer a more independent experience.
- To live with students from all over the world, you can stay in the school’s student residence accommodation. Please note that this type of accommodation is only available during the months of July, August and September.
- For an independent experience in Cadiz, you can choose a studio apartment.
Activities
Make the most of your time in Cadiz with the help of our school’s weekly activity programme. All activities are optional, but all students are welcome! Activities may include guided visits, beach trips, flamenco shows, sports events and so much more.
How to get there
The nearest airport to Cadiz is Jerez de la Frontera, which has a direct train service from the airport to Cadiz, which takes around 45 minutes. Many of our students also fly into Seville or Malaga. Optional airport transfers upon arrival and/or departure can be arranged to/from Jerez, Seville or Malaga at an additional cost.
