Portuguese and Surfing in Porto

What’s more, Porto also finds itself within easy reach of a stunning coastline of vast golden beaches, all easily accessible by public transport! This makes Porto a perfect base for keen surfers, who can spend their days enjoying the wavy Atlantic waters of the nearby beaches, while returning to the city when the sun goes down to make the most of its famous nightlife. Surfing in Porto couldn’t be easier, as we offer a specialised Portuguese and Surfing course, which gives you the chance to learn Portuguese in the mornings, and spend your afternoons riding Atlantic Ocean waves!

Portuguese and Surfing
Our Portuguese and Surfing course in Porto includes 20 group Portuguese lessons each week, which take place Monday to Friday. Each lesson lasts for a duration of 50 minutes, and there will be no more than 6 students per group.
On top of your Portuguese lessons, you will receive 4 surfing lessons each week!
Course duration: 1-4 weeks
Level: This course is suitable for students of all levels, from complete beginner to advanced.
Accommodation
- Accommodation is offered with carefully selected Spanish host families on a bed and breakfast basis. This is a great option, as it allows you to experience life in Porto first-hand, and practice your language skills with native Portuguese speakers in a warm and welcoming environment.

Activities
To further enhance your Portuguese learning, take part in our school’s weekly activity programme! Not only will this allow you to experience the beauty of Porto and its surrounding areas, it will also give you a great opportunity to practice your language skills in an authentic context. Activities vary depending upon the time of year, but may include museum visits, market trips, and excursions to nearby places of interest. Sé Catedral, Feira de Espinho and the Stock Exchange Palace are just a few of the many sites you will be given the chance to explore!
How to get there
Airport transfers upon arrival and/or departure can be arranged from/to Porto airport. Please note that the transfer service is not included in the price and will incur an additional fee.
