Spanish and Surfing in San Sebastian
Discover what San Sebastian is really about by joining us on a Spanish and Water-sports course! This delightful Spanish city is renowned for its three urban beaches - La Concha, famous across Europe for its delightful appearance; Ondaretta, a popular spot for families and a great place to practise all manner of water-sports; and Zurriola, a true surfer’s paradise. It is therefore hardly surprising that San Sebastian is a firm favourite amongst beach lovers and water-sports enthusiasts and, what’s more, our school even offer a variety of water-sports courses to take alongside your Spanish lessons, including surfing, kayaking and paddle-boarding!

Spanish and Surfing
Our Spanish and Surfing course in San Sebastian includes 20 Intensive Spanish lessons and 5 surf lessons each week, spread across 5 days. Students will be placed into groups according to their surf level and instruction is given in Spanish or English, depending upon your level.
Course duration: 1-4 weeks
Level: Both Spanish and Surf lessons are suitable for students of all levels.
Accommodation
- Choose to stay with a local host family to practice your Spanish skills in a welcoming environment. Bed and breakfast, half-board and full-board options are all available depending upon your preference.
- Stay in a shared apartment with other international students or locals, comprising of private bedrooms and shared living facilities.
- For the opportunity to meet and socialise with university students, choose the Student Residence.
Activities
Your time in San Sebastian would not be complete without our school’s social activity programme! Each week, you will have the opportunity to get involved with numerous activities and excursions, allowing you to socialise with your fellow classmates and discover San Sebastian in all its authenticity. Some examples of activities that may be arranged are: international language exchanges, wine-tasting, city tours, excursions to nearby places of interest, hiking, BBQs, museum visits and much more!
How to get there
The nearest airport is San Sebastian airport, but it is also possible to fly into Bilbao. You could also travel by train, arriving into Irun, Hendaya or Biarritz train stations. Transfers upon arrival and/or departure can be arranged from/to any of the mentioned locations. Please note that the transfer service is not included in the price and will incur an additional fee.
