Courses in Augsburg
The unique advantage of the young students programme in Augsburg is the fact that the courses for 14 to 17 year olds are available all year round! This is not only a summer course, so you have the chance to come to Augsburg to learn German during the winter months, or during the autumn or springtime! You can start a course on ANY MONDAY of the year and there is an average of just 10-12 students per class, with a maximum of 15.
Students aged 14-17 years need to have some prior German language knowledge (elementary level) to book this course. The classes are designed with teenagers in mind and the teachers strive to provide a total cultural immersion experience, in a fun and dynamic environment. The course includes a minimum of 2 activities each week (4 activities per week in the summertime) and a full-day excursion every Saturday, as well as full-board accommodation.
Our young adults stay with native German host families, in shared rooms, on a full-board basis. A single room can be requested for an additional fee. The hosts are carefully chosen by the school's Accommodation Officer for the standard of the facilities offered. They are experienced and committed to providing our international Young Students with a welcoming and friendly home-away-from-home. The school guarantees that students will not have to travel more than 45 minutes in total, to reach the school from their accommodation and a local transportation card, for the buses and trains, is included in the programme fees.
By staying with a host family, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in everyday life and culture in Augsburg, to meet the native people and have a daily opportunity to practise your German outside of the classroom!
A large team of experienced teachers will help make your stay in Augsburg as enjoyable as possible. The cultural activities and visits to local places of interest are all led and fully-supervised by an experienced member of school staff, including on Saturdays, when there is full-day excursion. In the evenings students will often have free time to spend with their host families, or they can go out to meet friends from their language course, provided that they confirm to their hosts where they will be and when they expect to return.

How to get there
Students normally arrive into Munich airport, from where they take the train to Augsburg and will be met on arrival at the train station in the city centre, by their host family. The host will also take the students back to the train station on their departure and this return service is included in the fees. If you wish to book an airport transfer service from the airport instead, then this is possible at an additional cost.
