German Summer Course, Munich
(14-17)Our German summer course in Munich takes place in Castle Schwaneck, a 19th century castle on the banks of the River Isar. The castle, built in 1843, has been beautifully restored, and has Internet cafe, a Knight’s Hall, lounge, student cafeteria, bowling, billiards and table tennis! The castle is perfectly located in a wealthy residential part of the city, just 15 minutes by metro from the famous Marienplatz city square.

The time you spend at Castle Schwaneck on our German summer course will be busy, but a lot of fun! There are 20 German lessons/week, plus a choice of 2 activities/day, including swimming, river rafting and volleyball. What’s more, there’s also 2 excursions/day to locations around Munich, such as the famous Castle Neuschwanstein.
What’s great about Castle Schwaneck is that you’ll be able to mix with German students your own age, who are studying other subjects at the school. It’s a great opportunity to make friends and practise the German you have learnt in class!
Accommodation
Students are accommodated in rooms shared between 4 or 5 students. You’ll have full board (3 meals/day) in the castle’s own student cafeteria. If you’re attending the summer camp with a friend, we can try to accommodate you in the same room. Usually, we try to place students of different nationalities together, so that you are encouraged to speak as much German as possible.
Supervision
Our teachers live on-site, so there is 24 hour/day supervision.
Activities
Activities include river rafting, swimming, minigolf and volleyball. There’s also one half-day and one full-day excursion/week to Munich or places nearby.
Suitability
This German summer camp is suitable for students of all nationalities, aged 14-17 years.
How to get there
Munich has its own airport which is easily accessed from many European locations. If required, we can arrange a transfer service on arrival and/or departure for juniors attending this programme. Please contact us for more information.
