(5-14)Have a summer to remember with a Spanish course for Young Students in Barcelona! Spain’s second city has plenty to offer teenagers, from sandy beaches and fantastic shopping to the surreal creations of Antoni Gaudí at Parc Güell. Barcelona is home to incredible museums, including a wax museum, a science museum and a chocolate museum! There’s also an aquarium and a zoo, where you can see all kinds of amazing animals. Football fans will want to visit the Camp Nou, where FC Barcelona play in front of huge crowds.
Our school is located just outside Barcelona, in the town of Castelldefels. Ideally located just 18km from the centre of the city, the area boasts more than 5km of golden sandy beaches. The camp is located just a ten minute walk from the beach, at the UPC university. The huge campus is surrounded by green spaces and our school’s varied activity program makes the most of the excellent sporting facilities.

Taking 20 Spanish lessons per week in same-level groups, you’ll make new friends from all over the world! All aspects of the language are covered, as well as Spanish history and culture. Our school’s teachers are all highly qualified, patient and enthusiastic, so you’ll learn Spanish in no time! In addition to international students learning Spanish, there will also be some Spanish students learning English, so you will have the opportunity to mix with Spanish teenagers and put your language skills into practise!
Accommodation
You’ll stay on campus in a single or twin air-conditioned room, some of which have a private bathroom. This Spanish course for Young Students in Barcelona includes three meals per day, with special dietary requirements taken into consideration.
Supervision
24-hour supervision is provided, with school staff living on-site. Students aged 15 years and over are allowed a limited number of unsupervised trips off campus, with parental permission.
Activities
Socialise with classmates and practice your Spanish throughout the day with our school’s packed activities program. You can look forward to sports, competitions, school discos, city tours, Spanish dance lessons and many other activities. Half day and full day excursions are also organised, visiting places like Barcelona’s atmospheric Gothic Quarter and Sagrada Familia, the tempting beaches of the Costa Brava and Tibidabo Amusement Park.
For those who wish to add more sports activities to their programmes there is the option to book additional courses of water sports (may include sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and canoeing), football and tennis. Please contact us for more information on these option packages.
Suitability
This course is available to students of all levels aged between 5 and 18 years of age.
How to get there
Airport transfers from Barcelona Airport can be arranged at extra cost. Students should plan to arrive on the Sunday afternoon, prior to the start of their course and the departure day is Saturday, after the course has finished.
