Spanish course for Teenagers, Cadiz
(14-17 years old)The Andalusian town of Cadiz, situated on its own peninsula in the south of Spain, is said to be the oldest town in western Europe. It is a busy, historic port and a lively, dynamic and interesting place to visit. The main attractions include the beautiful cathedral in the old town, where you have a view over the entire city from the top of the tower. There are archeological remains to be found all around the town, including impressive ancient stone walls and forts, originally built to protect the city.
The Spanish Summer course for teenagers in Cadiz takes place within walking distance of one of the town's best beaches with an endless range of things to see and do, as part of the specially designed cultural programme for youngsters.

Courses in Cadiz
Students can take a 2, 3, or 4-week course in Cadiz. The Spanish lessons are designed with the needs and requirements of teenagers in mind and all teachers are fully qualified and experienced in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language to students of this age group. There are 9 classrooms and a maximum of 12 students per class, with an average of just 8 - 10. The teaching methods are modern and dynamic, with much of the learning done outside of the classrooms, during the social and cultural programme of sports and activities, with full supervision by school teachers and staff.
Accommodation
There is the option to stay in the school´s own wonderful beach-side residence, with fantastic views of the sea! All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. The residence and school are situated just 5 minutes from the old town centre and within easy reach of all the sights and attractions.
The host families are carefully selected by the school staff, following strict criteria. The families are selected for their location within walking distance from the school, for the comfort and furnishings in their home and for the facilities and quality of meals provided. The hosts are all friendly and welcoming, ensuring that our young students feel at home and at ease. Students can stay in a single or a shared room, together with another international student of the same age group. All meals are provided.
Supervision
There is 24-hour supervision in the student residence building and students are always supervised during the activities, sports, visits and excursions. Students who are staying with a Spanish host family will be cared for by their hosts outside of the classrooms, or after the daily social activities.
Activities
The course offers a combination of high quality Spanish classes for teenagers, together with a full programme of daily social activities, sports, cultural visits and excursions, to ensure that the young students thoroughly enjoy their time in Cadiz, whilst making many new friends and practising their Spanish knowledge at the same time! There are excursions to the nearby beaches, to amusement parks and other places of interest in and around Cadiz. There are sports such as volleyball, basketball and surfing lessons on the beach! There are workshops in Spanish music and dance, as well as treasure hunts and tours of the old town. There is also a welcome party and a farewell party at the end of the course. Full-day excursions take place on Saturdays, for example to Tarifa and the castle of Guzman, as well as to the Roman city of Baelo Claudia. Students always receive a packed lunch on excursion days.
