Spanish course for Young Students, San Sebastian
(14-17 years old)San Sebastian is an idyllic destination to brush up on Spanish with its striking coastline and eye-catching Old Town centre. The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd of San Sebastian stands tall with its 75 metre Gothic-Revival spire, looking over the city since 1897 after nine years of construction aided by the local parishioners. The Old Town centre houses two of the city’s oldest churches: San Vicente and the Baroque-style Basilica of Santa Maria. The Old Town centre is also a popular hub for foodies with some of the most delicious local gastronomy available on nearly every street.
Our language school is in the western part of the city - only 10 minutes from the beach, blending academics and sunny seaside fun into one. Could there possibly be a better place for teens aged 14-17 to immerse themselves in the Spanish language during their course?
Courses in San Sebastian
This Spanish course for teenagers is composed of 20 lessons per week, each lesson 45 minutes in length. Five of those lessons are dedicated to working on a collaborative project with other students in the group. Lessons take place on Monday to Friday in the morning in small classes of approximately 3-10 students.
Lessons will focus on grammar, vocabulary and verb tenses as well as practical Spanish language skills students will be able to apply in conversation real-life situations. Classes are structured in a practical and interactive way. This course is suitable for students with Beginner to C2 proficiency in Spanish.
Accommodation
Students will stay with a Host Family during their course. Students will be allocated a single room (although shared rooms are available for students travelling together) and full board with a local host — giving opportunity for increased immersion while learning Spanish. Staying with a host family allows students to practice their Spanish outside of the classroom, experience local cuisine and learn about the local culture directly from the community.
All host families live in the centre of San Sebastian and in easy access to our school.
Supervision
All activities and excursions are supervised by qualified staff members. Students are permitted some free time in the evenings, and we ask all parents to provide us with a signed parental consent form to give students permission to go out. Students aged 14-15 are not permitted to go out after dinner unless chaperoned by host family or parents. Students aged 16-17 are permitted to go out until 23:00 on Sundays-Thursdays, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Activities
The course includes an activity programme boasting three half-day activities per week such as visits to Pamploa, Hendaya, the Naval Museum, beach volleyball, Salsa and and an Island trip. Additionally, there is one full day excursion per week to destinations like Guetaria, Bilbao or Vitoria.
Cultural activities and sports are also part of the activity programme in this course. All activities are in Spanish.

Intensive 25 with Host Family
I enjoyed my course it was very helpful and moved at my pace most of the time. My professors Ester and Maria were great and very helpful. I enjoyed going to class every day.
My accommodation was great the host family I stayed with were lovely and Mikele was always making sure we were ok and if we needed anything,I would highly recommend the host family. The only thing I would change would be to eat with the family to have that expedience, to talk and to eat. But apart from that my experience was wonderful and I hope to return soon.

Intensive 25 with Host Family
The course was great, all the students and teachers were all so friendly. Class sizes were small which was very good and the teachers were excellent and I learnt a lot with them. Our apartment was very spacious and in a great location. Our host woman was so friendly and always helped us if we had any difficulties. It was a great way to experience Spanish culture and I really enjoyed my stay.

I really enjoyed my 2-week stay in San Sebastian. I've been to Spain on language courses before, in Almeria and Salamanca, but my favorite place was San Sebastian. I learned how to surf, and my favorite activity was the trip to Pamplona to see the running of the bulls! I met interesting people, made many new friends, learned quite a bit of Spanish, and the school staff was very helpful and friendly.
