Our Option Three Japanese language school in Tokyo offers Japanese lessons in centres at two locations. Short-term students are based in cosmopolitan Shinjuku, where the large student population results in a vibrant atmosphere and relatively low living costs. Long-term courses take place in a historic district called Taito, where elaborate Buddhist temples and the beautiful Ueno Park provide oases of tranquillity in the middle of Tokyo.

Both centres are well positioned for exploring Tokyo, and both have computer rooms, so you can tell friends and family back home about your Japanese adventure! Our Shinjuku centre has comfortable 10 classrooms, while the centre in Taito has 18 classrooms, as well as a student self-study room.
Courses
With our school, you can study Japanese for any duration from 1 week to 2 years! The Short-term Japanese course in Tokyo offers 20 classes per week, focusing on conversation, so you can quickly begin practicing and improving your language skills. If you want to truly discover this incredible land, the Long-Term program gives you anywhere between 1 and 2 years to explore Japan!
Japan is a worldwide economic power, making Japanese an extremely important language in the world of commerce. Our school hosts programs in both Business Conversation and Practical Business, with the latter introducing you to Japanese business etiquette and culture. These business courses run in the early morning, evening and at the weekends, making them ideal if you work in Tokyo. Further your career by gaining a qualification in Japanese – take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test! Our school runs a dedicated JLPT course, which will prepare you for the exam.

Accommodation
Really get to know the Japanese language and culture – live with the locals! Our Option Three Japanese language school in Tokyo will gladly arrange host family accommodation for you. Your friendly, carefully selected host family will provide you with home cooked meals, as well as all the Japanese practice you could wish for! You can opt for breakfast only, or breakfast and dinner.
Alternatively, you could live in a spacious, modern apartment within walking distance of the school. All apartments have well-equipped kitchens, bathrooms, air conditioning, TVs and Internet connections. You can either share the apartment with one of your fellow students, or enjoy your own space whilst you learn Japanese in Tokyo!
Activities
Take part in our school’s varied cultural program to enjoy some of the most fascinating Japanese events and traditions. Activities such as Japanese cooking classes, tea ceremonies and kimono days will introduce you to Japanese culture, and will also help you get to know your classmates!
The cultural program also includes trips to places like the Tokyo Disney Resort, historic Asakusa, the Hakkejima Sea Paradise and a hot-spring inn. If your Japanese course in Tokyo coincides with any local festivals, such as the cherry blossom festival, our school will take you to celebrate with the local people!
