Our English language school is a modern school located right in the centre of the city, just a short walk from the beautiful San Diego Bay and the historic Gaslamp District. The school is within easy reach of all of the main attractions, including Balboa Park, the world famous San Diego Zoo and the popular Horton Plaza shopping district!
There is a average of just 7 students per class and, with over 40 years of experience, the highly qualified teachers and school staff make it their goal to provide professional and personal English language classes. Modern teaching methods ensure that you can communicate with confidence and effectively, improving your English in a very short period of time.

What courses are available in San Diego?
Available courses
Choose the group language courses at our school in San Diego if your aim is to improve and develop your overall level of English. In addition to reading, writing and grammar exercises, these courses present a huge variety of activities to enable you to develop your listening and conversational skills, involving the use of idioms, role-play and class discussion.
The Intensive course consists of 20 group lessons per week and the Super-Intensive course consists of 28 group lessons per week, allowing you to meet, study and socialize with other international students. There is a minimum duration of 2 weeks and you can study for as many weeks as you like. These courses are available to students of all language levels, from beginner to advanced.
Students who have limited time in San Diego, or who are looking to maximize their progress with a tailor-made language course, have the option to book a course of Private English Lessons. This option is ideal for students who wish to cover certain and specific aspects of the language, or who need specialised English skills for their career.
Alternatively, you can choose an Intensive course with Private classes, where 5 extra individual classes each week will enable you to consolidate your knowledge and to concentrate on any areas of difficulty in much greater detail.
English students who are thinking to study at USA or Canada based colleges and universities often choose the IELTS Preparation Course. This preparation course for the International English Language Testing System exam also has various specific start dates throughout the year and is available for durations of 4, 8 or 12 weeks.

Host Families
The ideal accommodation option for students who are looking to use their English skills outside of the classroom as much as possible, is to stay with a Californian host family. The hosts are selected carefully and monitored by the Accommodations Coordinator at the school, to ensure that they are friendly, welcoming and genuinely interested in meeting students from all over the world! Each student has a private bedroom and breakfast is included each day. There are rooms with private bathrooms available on request and all of the families are located between 20 and 40 minutes from the school by public transport.
Available activities in San Diego
The school offers a wide range of activities and events every week, in addition to regular, exciting excursions, giving all students the chance to discover the city and surrounding area and to get to know one another. You will need to sign up around one week in advance, for all of the activities you wish to join. There are many water sports possibilities such as sailing, surfing, kayaking and whale watching! There are visits to cultural attractions in the city centre, as well as days on the beach, trips to the Zoo and to the Seaport Village. You can join bowling, hiking and indoor rock-climbing trips and our school also offers excursions to visit San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas!
How to get to our school in San Diego
If you are staying with a host family in San Diego, then there is a free airport transfer service, for all arrivals between 9am and 9.30pm. For students staying in all other types of accommodation, our school can collect you from San Diego International Airport and take you directly to your accommodation. However the transfer cost is not included in the fees.
