Spanish course in Cartagena

Up on the north coast of Colombia is the gorgeously preserved port city of Cartagena. A fantastic place where you can wander along cobbled streets and soak up the colonial heritage while you try typical, delicious Colombian food and drink. Cartagena de Indias stands in contrast to the lively city of Medellín and the country’s capital Bogotá.

Cartagena is an ideal place to learn Spanish, lying on the Caribbean coast it has a tropical climate, with a cool breeze and gentle surf. Popular with foreign and Colombian tourists alike, Cartagena is a unique and colourful South American city, effortlessly juxtaposing the old with the new. It has a rich history, incredible beaches nearby and almost endless places to explore.

Our school in Cartagena

Our partner school, located in the old town, is a short walk away from some of the cities’ best attractions such as the Fernandez de Madrid square and the 13Km of colonial walls surrounding the city, known as ‘Las Murallas’.

The school has a friendly atmosphere and is in a colourful colonial building which has fully equipped classrooms, air conditioning, a small library, and a café where students can sip delicious Colombian coffee while taking a break from all their Spanish learning! Free WiFi is available throughout the school building which you can use with your own computer/tablet or available through one of the school’s computers.

The school not only teaches Spanish with highly qualified native Spanish teachers, but serves as a cultural centre with excellent activities and cultural visits. There are a great mix of students from all over the world who visit Cartagena throughout the year
