Learn Spanish in Trinidad

If you want to learn Spanish in a really ‘Cuban’ location, then take a Spanish course in Trinidad, located on the south coast of Cuba. Trinidad is a beautiful example of a Spanish colonial city. This is an untouched, typically Cuban town, where you can learn Spanish whilst completely immersing yourself in the Spanish language and Cuban culture. Though Trinidad has a magnificent sandy beach, the town itself is more or less untouched by international tourism, with any modern buildings being built down by the beach, leaving the town itself completely unspoilt. The ‘unspoilt’ nature of Trinidad is its charm, with the fading elegance of its colonial buildings and the friendly nature of the local Cubans.

Student reviews & feedback

My tutor (Barbara) was a marvelous if traditional teacher and made me feel at home in her casa. She really did teach me as much as possble in the short time we had. Carly and Rosa were charming hosts. The living space we had was kept very clean and we were encouraged to be at home. Food was fab and we felt as though we fitted in very well. Our dancing teachers Noel and Maria were great and very keen for us to spread the cuban salsa bug wherever we to get it right 1st though!!!

I enjoyed the course quite a bit. The instructor was excellent. Our host, Dr. Diego A. Soler Andrade, was an exellent, warm-hearted, humourous person. He hired a cook to feed the German students and ourselves. The cook was top-notch and adjusted well to our vegetarian needs.

I was concentrating on conversational Spanish as I had already completed a three month immersion course. My teacher was a professor of English and Cultural Anthropology with incredible connections to the local University. We toured the city with many conversations with University faculty that gave incredible incite on History, Culture, Poli and Legal systems etc. This was far beyond any of my expectations. Casa Carlos Martin can only be described as 5 Star. The food was better than most restaurants, the air-conditioning cold freeze if you want it(each room had separate air-conditioners). The service was better than any resort I have visited and I am well traveled since it is my career. Far above and beyond what anyone could expect. Daily house keeping and laundry service is as professional as the best resorts. The personal concierge service provided by Carlos himself was amazing. . I was sent to Cuba to write a book on sustainable tourism and have found a perfect example of it in Apple Languages. Thanks to Apple Languages I discovered a form of tourism that is beneficial to all and sustainable.

The professor was amazing, professional, warm, funny, engaging. I would take another course from her in a second. The accomodation was clean and the host family was friendly. The dance instruction was beyond amazing and the two teachers helped me to learn Salsa more quickly than I could imagine. My friends at home were amazed at how much I had improved, and the dance classes were so enjoyable that they are part of some of the best memories of my life. I definitely recommend the dance course to anyone interested in this.
